| Summary, etc. | Ce texte interroge les entreprises mémorielles sur les traites esclavagistes dans la ville de Bordeaux à partir de l’ethnographie d’une résidence de création artistique qui s’est tenue en août 2014. Organisée par une association bordelaise, cet événement impliquait plusieurs artistes d’origine africaine qui se retrouvaient à devoir faire face à la visée d’un art « réparateur » et au rôle de « revenants » dans l’histoire de la ville. Nous souhaitons ici montrer la manière dont ces artistes, se confrontant aux enjeux de représentation d’un passé que la plupart d’entre eux souhaitent mettre à distance, deviennent les figures de l’irréconciliation avec une histoire dont les blessures sont toujours ouvertes et dont la mémoire fait encore débat aujourd’hui. |

| Summary, etc. | This text questions the memorial initiatives relating to the slave trade in the city of Bordeaux, based on the ethnography of an artists’ residency that took place in August 2014. Organized by a Bordeaux association, several artists of African origin were involved in the project, and found themselves assuming both the role of a “reconciling” art and the role of “ghosts” in the town’s history. The paper attempts to show how these artists, who faced the challenge of representing a past from which most of them wanted to distance themselves, became characters in the impossible task of reconciling a history whose wounds are still open and whose memory is still being debated today. |

Organizado por una asociación de Burdeos, este evento involucró a varios artistas de origen africano que tuvieron que enfrentar el objetivo de un arte « reparador » y el papel de los « fantasmas » en la historia de la ciudad. Queremos mostrar aquí cómo estos artistas, confrontando los problemas de representación de un pasado que la mayoría de ellos desean poner a distancia, se convierten en figuras de la irreconciliación con una historia cuyas heridas siempre están abiertas, y cuya memoria todavía se debate hoy. |

| Summary, etc. | Dieser Text hinterfragt die Gedenkunterfangen zum Sklavenhandel in der Stadt Bordeaux auf Grundlage der Ethnographie eines Kunstprojekts, das im August 2014 stattfand. Diese Veranstaltung wurde von einem Bordeauxer Verband organisiert und implizierte mehrere Künstler afrikanischer Herkunft, die sich das Ziel einer „reparierenden“ Kunst setzten und sich der Rolle der „Geister“ in der Geschichte der Stadt stellten. Wir wollen hier zeigen, wie diese Künstler, die sich mit Fragen der Repräsentation einer Vergangenheit auseinandersetzen, von der die meisten von ihnen Abstand nehmen wollen, zu Figuren der Nichtversöhnbarkeit mit einer Geschichte werden, deren Wunden noch immer offen sind und deren Erinnerung noch diskutiert wird. |
