| Summary, etc. | Cet article explore la relation des États de l’Union européenne (UE) aux « questions autochtones » depuis l’adoption de la Déclaration des Nations unies sur les droits des peuples autochtones. Le legs colonial, des clivages sur le droit à l’autodétermination, expliquent que ces questions ne font pas partie de l’acquis communautaire. La région dispose bien d’un système des droits humains mais les États n’intègrent guère les droits des peuples autochtones dans leurs législations ; notamment en matière industrielle ou commerciale. L’UE témoigne pourtant d’une attention plus soutenue et certaines évolutions sont encourageantes. |

| Summary, etc. | This article explores the relationship of European Union (EU) member states to “indigenous issues” since the adoption of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The colonial legacy, as well as cleavages over the right of indigenous peoples to self-determination, explain why these questions are not part of the acquis communautaire. The region has a human rights system, but the member states barely incorporate the rights of indigenous peoples in their legislation, in particular when it comes to industrial or commercial matters. Nevertheless, the EU is beginning to show a greater awareness of the issues and there have been a number of encouraging developments. |

| Summary, etc. | Este artículo explora la relación de los Estados de la Unión Europea con las « cuestiones autóctonas » desde la Declaración de las Naciones Unidas sobre los derechos de los pueblos indígenas. El legado colonial y las divisiones sobre el derecho a la autodeterminación explican que esas cuestiones no forman parte del acervo comunitario. La región dispone de un sistema de derechos humanos pero los Estados apenas integran los derechos de los pueblos autóctonos en sus legislaciones ; especialmente en materia industrial o comercial. L’UE muestra sin embargo una atención más sostenida y ciertas evoluciones son alentadoras. |

| Summary, etc. | Dieser Artikel untersucht das Verhältnis der Staaten der Europäischen Union (EU) zu „indigenen Fragen“, die sich seit der Verabschiedung der Erklärung der Vereinten Nationen über die Rechte der indigenen Völker stellen. Das koloniale Erbe, die Meinungsverschiedenheiten über das Recht auf Selbstbestimmung, erklären, warum diese Fragen nicht Teil des acquis communautaire sind. Die Region verfügt zwar über ein Menschenrechtssystem, aber die Staaten integrieren die Rechte der indigenen Völker kaum in ihre Gesetzgebung und insbesondere nicht in industriellen oder kommerziellen Angelegenheiten. Die EU widmet dem Thema jedoch mehr Aufmerksamkeit, und einige Entwicklungen sind ermutigend. |
