| Summary, etc. | We report on the reflection developed from a literature review and our clinical experience on the psychological issues relating to survival after being treated for cancer during childhood. The proposal for a “displaced” understanding of oncological time would foster the processing of aftereffects and encourage narrative work around past experiences. The psychological consultation provides an opportunity to support the (re)assessment of the subjective impact of a serious illness during childhood, which is not always expressible or visible. |
