520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This paper addresses urban lightscapes at night in a constructivist perspective. The analysis links their materiality and the meaning given to them by both the agents that produce them and society at large. Beyond their polysemy and lack of ideology, they are embedded in a set of imaginary perceptions of both society and city. Though friendly, these perceptions fail to capture real city life at night. However, this paper is more than a critique of the ideological biases included in these imaginary representations. Rather, it focuses on the challenges and processes of lightscape coproduction.
