| Summary, etc. | Les nématodes gastro-intestinaux (NGI) causent d’importantes pertes économiques chez les ongulés. L’utilisation répétée d’antiparasitaires a favorisé l’émergence de résistances, notamment aux benzimidazoles et aux lactones macrocycliques. Les changements globaux (augmentation des populations, fragmentation des habitats) favorisent les contacts entre faunes domestique et sauvage. De nombreux parasites sont partagés entre elles, avec des niveaux de prévalence et d’intensité variables, selon les espèces hôtes et les parasites concernés. Haemonchus contortus, parasite majeur des petits ruminants, est fréquemment détecté chez les ongulés sauvages vivant à proximité du bétail. Les analyses génétiques révèlent des échanges réguliers de parasites entre espèces. Des mutations conférant la résistance aux benzimidazoles sont observées chez plusieurs espèces de parasites chez les ongulés sauvages, parfois en proportions importantes. Les études expérimentales confirment une transmission bidirectionnelle de parasites résistants. Les ongulés sauvages pourraient maintenir et disperser les parasites résistants, mais aussi des parasites sensibles, plus faciles à contrôler dans les élevages. The repeated use of anthelmintics has led to the development of resistance, particularly to benzimidazoles and macrocyclic lactones. Global changes, such as population increases and habitat fragmentation, enhance contact between domestic and wild fauna. Depending on the host and parasite species, many parasites are shared. Haemonchus contortus, a major parasite of small ruminants, is often found in wild ungulates living near livestock. Genetic analyses reveal regular parasite exchanges between species. Mutations conferring benzimidazole resistance have been observed in several parasite species in wild ungulates, sometimes at high frequencies. Experimental studies confirm the bidirectional transmission of resistant parasites. While wild ungulates could maintain and disperse resistant strains, they also preserve sensitive strains that are beneficial to livestock.
