| Summary, etc. | Tout au long de la guerre d’Algérie, la grande majorité des hommes nés entre 1932 et 1943, soit plus d’un million de personnes, est venue grossir les rangs des appelés. A l'époque, un quart des familles a été impliquée par le départ d'un fils, d'un neveu, d'un petit-fils sous les drapeaux. En dépit de leur nombre, à leur retour, ces hommes ont très peu raconté ce qu’ils avaient vécu. Leurs enfants, « aidés » en cela par leurs mères, ont reçu en héritage leur silence. |
