| Summary, etc. | Cet article pose trois controverses pour ouvrir, à nouveaux frais, le débat sur la situation actuelle des adultes handicapés en établissement. La première concerne leur qualification comme adulte et handicapé dans un environnement de plus en plus « normé » en projets et parcours ; la deuxième examine leurs vies dans leur diversité et leur conformité à des dispositifs pensés en dehors d’eux ; la dernière envisage les questions de représentations et de citoyenneté comme l’une des utopies de la loi dite de rénovation de l’action sociale et médico-sociale. |

| Summary, etc. | This article raises three contentious questions in order to once again open up the debate on disabled adults in institutions. The first concerns how they are qualified as adult and disabled, in an environment increasingly “standardized” in its initiatives and pathways; the second examines their lives, in all their diversity and in their conformity with systems designed externally to them; the last envisages questions of representation and citizenship as one of the utopias of the (2002) law for the “renovation of social and medico-social action”. |
