| Summary, etc. |
| 520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
| Summary, etc. | “I did not know we were twins”; some literary styles “refusal of the feminine”“When we love, it is not sex that it is” (Lacan). Robert Musil, James Joyce or Henry James show with style and elegance that a meeting between two people is possible according to the subjective conditions and contingencies each specific language. Subjects respectively oriented in a position that escapes all determinism of sex and gender, it draws their humanity to the impossible intercourse. James Joyce and Henry James depict two tragic heroes Marcher and Gabriel, equally assured and confused by their outbursts of love, just as the one that swept the other way and not drawn any less confusing to the indication phallic. But if the phallus orders, provides an indication, he says nothing, he offers no guarantee of being. This is in excess of the phallic image constrained and guided by women - women who shows a way beyond - that these men will be summoned. Open to another world - something beyond the phallic jouissance - these men are each called in their being. |
