| Summary, etc. | C’est tout simplement l’histoire d’un tableau. Pas n’importe lequel, car celui-là nous regarde plus encore que nous ne le regardons. Un tableau, donc une histoire et une vie, celle de son peintre; cette œuvre a bientôt trente ans et a été réalisée par un artiste « fiché au grand handicap », soit la trisomie. Ce dont il est question, c’est d’un « au-delà du handicap », c’est-à-dire d’une rencontre souvent hasardeuse entre l’univers de ce peintre et le nôtre à nous qui nous targuons de n’être pas des « handicapés ». La thèse, c’est qu’il s’agit là d’une œuvre à part entière et qu’elle est commensurable aux plus grandes. Tel est notre pari. |

| Summary, etc. | This is simply the story of a table. Not any, because that one is watching us more than we look. A table, so a history and a life, that of his painter; this work has almost thirty years and was made by a disabeld artist or trisomy. What is question is a “beyond the disability”, that is often a chance encounter between the world of the painter and ours in which we pride ourselves on being not “disabled”. The argument is that this is a work in its own right and is commensurable to the largest. That is our challenge. |
