| Summary, etc. | Le signalement d’enfant en danger qu’envoient les assistantes sociales à la justice n’est pas un support transparent qui donnerait un accès direct aux catégories et aux normes mises en oeuvre par ces professionnelles. Cet écrit est soumis à des règles d’écriture spécifiques et il est produit dans un contexte de travail particulier, par des auteurs aux compétences scripturales différenciées. Une enquête ethnographique menée dans des services sociaux a permis d’étudier ces trois dimensions et la façon dont elles pèsent sur la perception de cet acte d’écriture. Le travail de rédaction est perçu comme une épreuve par toutes les assistantes sociales, mais avec plus ou moins d’intensité selon les compétences scripturales dont elles disposent pour y faire face et selon leur environnement de travail. Ces compétences différenciées ne se réduisent pas à des compétences scolaires et mettent en jeu des pratiques singulières d’écriture pour soi, développées à la marge du cadre professionnel. |

What they write espouses a specific style, is the product of a particular work context, and each evinces different scriptural competences. An ethnographic survey carried out in social work offices allowed us to study those three factors and the way they influence the way the act of writing up such a report is perceived. It is considered an ordeal by all the social workers, but to a great or lesser extent, depending on their scriptural competences and the professional environment. Their fact their competences differ in this respect cannot be reduced to what they learned at school, but bring into play each social worker’s personal writings, which they produce when at the margins of their professional framework. |
