| Summary, etc. | RésuméSigurd Erixon est l’une des figures de proue de l’ethnologie suédoise de la première moitié du xxe siècle. Sa très abondante production scientifique est consacrée à la part la plus ancienne de la tradition populaire vivante ; les entretiens jouent ainsi un grand rôle dans sa recherche. Sur la base de ce travail – et d’autres documents – a été établie une cartographie de la culture populaire suédoise préindustrielle. S. Erixon et son école ont dominé l’ethnologie suédoise jusque dans les années 1960, époque où intervient un changement de paradigme qui conduit les ethnologues à s’intéresser aux communautés locales et à valoriser l’observation participante. |

| Summary, etc. | Sigurd Erixon, the key figure in Swedish ethnology, carried out his work during the first part of the twentieth century. His abundant research dealt mostly with the oldest strata of living popular tradition. In other words, it focused on that part of the historical epoch to which access was still available through oral testimony. Along with other documentary sources, his work thus served as the basis for a mapping of pre-industrial popular culture in Sweden. S. Erixon and his school dominated Swedish ethnology up to the 1960s, when a paradigm shift caused ethnologists to turn their interests to the study of local communities and to participational observation. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungSigurd Erixon, die Gallionsfigur der schwedischen Ethnologie, wirkte in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Ihre sehr fruchtbaren Forschungsarbeiten sind der ältesten noch lebendigen Volkskultur gewidmet und konzentrieren sich auf derjenigen geschichtliche Zeitspanne, die ihr noch durch Zeitzeugen zugänglich war. Auf Grundlage ihrer Arbeiten und mit Hilfe weiterer Dokumente wurde es möglich eine Kartographie der vorindustriellen schwedischen Volkskultur zu entwickeln. Sigurd Erixon und ihre Schule haben die schwedische Ethnologie bis in die 1960er dominiert, erst dann zeichnete sich ein Paradigmenwechsel ab und die Ethnologen begannen sich mehr für lokale Gemeinschaften und für die teilnehmende Beobachtung zu interessieren. |
