| Summary, etc. | RésuméL’ethnologie, avec ses recherches et ses enseignements portant sur la diversité culturelle et sur l’Europe, existe à l’université de Södertörn depuis son ouverture en 1996. Elle y est présente comme champ d’études interdisciplinaire dans les trois facultés. Enseignants et thésards s’intéressent aux rituels, à la globalisation, au corps et à la santé, au post-modernisme et au capitalisme tardif. La recherche porte principalement sur les régions de la Baltique ainsi que sur l’Europe de l’Est. L’enseignement traite des relations internationales et des contacts culturels, envisagés selon les perspectives de l’ethnicité, de la classe et du genre. |

| Summary, etc. | Ethnology, with its emphasis on cultural diversity and on Europe, was established in 1996. It is part of interdisciplinary studies within the three faculties of the university. Both teachers and PhD-students do research on modern rituals, globalisation, health and care, postmodernity and late capitalism. The research focusses on the Baltic regions and on Eastern Europe. Education concerns international relations and cultural contacts, relations which are being analyzed from ethnicity, class and gender perspectives. |

| Summary, etc. | ZusammenfassungDie Ethnologie und mit ihr die Forschungen über kulturelle Vielfalt und über Europa sind seit 1996 an der Universität Södertörn als interdisziplinäres Fach an drei Fakultäten beheimatet. Die Forscher und Studenten beschäftigen sich mit Riten, Globalisierung, Körper und Gesundheit, Post-Moderne, verspätetem Kapitalismus, baltischen Religionen sowie mit Osteuropa. Mit einem Blick auf Ethnizität, Klasse und Geschlechterverteilung werden internationale und kulturelle Beziehungen unterrichtet. |
