| Summary, etc. | RÉSUMÉ L’expérience combattante des résistants français, ses temporalités et ses rythmes, ont donné naissance à une culture de guerre bien particulière. Toutefois, selon les raisons et le moment de l’engagement, en fonction des modalités de lutte choisies, quatre générations résistantes se sont successivement formées au long des années noires. Ces générations ont abordé et vécu le retour à la paix chacune à sa façon, notamment en matière de reconnaissance. Souvent délicate, cette « sortie de résistance » forma le terreau sur lequel se développèrent des mémoires douloureuses, voire conflictuelles. |

| Summary, etc. | ABSTRACT The French Resisters’ experience of war gave birth to a very specific war culture, which had its own unity. Yet, during the dark years, the Resisters formed four successive generations, that may be differentiated, depending on their motivations, their periods of committment to the Resistance, and their methods of fighting. Each of these generations experienced the return to peace differently, notably the gratitude manifested to them upon their return. Consequently, the too often problematic « end of Resistance » nourished painful and even conflicting memories. |
