| Summary, etc. | L’édition des lettres de Marc Bloch au slavisant André Mazon, professeur au Collège de France, présentées ici, est intéressante à deux titres : premièrement, cette correspondance permet de préciser les raisons de l’échec du départ de Marc Bloch pour les États-Unis en 1941, et démontre notamment la part de responsabilité du Consulat américain de Lyon en la matière ; de l’autre, elle illustre la réalité de l’entraide entre universitaires durant la période de l’Occupation, et le dynamisme de réseaux de sociabilité qui se reconfigurent rapidement. Le rapprochement du cas de Bloch avec d’autres cas d’entraide et de mobilisation de personnels de l’enseignement supérieur en direction de collègues, qu’ils soient juifs, étrangers ou résistants, confirme ce constat. |

| Summary, etc. | The edition of Marc Bloch’s letters to the slavist André Mazon (professor at the Collège de France) presented here, is interesting for two points: on the one hand, this correspondence allows to specify the reasons of the failure of Marc Bloch’s departure for the United States in 1941, and demonstrates in particular the share of responsibility of the American Consulate of Lyon; on the other hand, it illustrates the reality of the mutual aid between academics during the period of the Occupation, and the dynamism of networks of sociability which quickly re-configure. The presentation of further cases of mutual aid and/or mobilization of staffs of academics in the direction of colleagues, – either Jewish, foreign or Resistant –, acknowledges the same fact. |
