| Summary, etc. | La découverte et la publication récente de nombreux sceaux de plomb à caractères coufiques d’époque omeyyade constituent un apport important à l’histoire de la conquête d’al-Andalus au début du viiie siècle. Portant des noms de gouverneurs arabes, de cités soumises à des tributs et de butins amassés par les conquérants de la péninsule, ces objets viennent compléter nos connaissances sur une période controversée jusque-là seulement éclairée par des textes et des monnaies. L’objectif de cet article est de regrouper et de croiser les informations fournies par ces différentes sources afin de souligner l’ampleur et la rapidité des bouleversements survenus dans l’ancienne Hispania wisigothique. |

| Summary, etc. | The discovery and recent publication of several lead seals with Kufic characters from the Umeyyad period on them are an important addition to our knowledge of the history of the conquest of Al-Andalus in the early eighth century. Bearing names of Arab governors, cities paying tribute, and loot taken from the peninsula by conquerors, these seals complement our knowledge on a controversial period, our understanding of which has so far only been through texts and coins. The aim of this article is to gather the information provided by these different sources in order to underline the scale and speed of the disruptions that occurred in former Visigothic Spain. |
