| Summary, etc. | Les invasions biologiques représentent une menace croissante pour la biodiversité, l’économie et la santé humaine dans le nord du Sénégal. Dans cette contribution, nous décryptons les défis de la communication scientifique dans ce contexte. L’approche qualitative a été retenue avec la réalisation d’entretiens semi-directifs auprès des acteurs locaux et l’observation participante. À la suite d’une analyse basée sur les « catégories conceptualisantes » de Paillé et Mucchielli (2008), il ressort que la communication scientifique se heurte à des obstacles liés aux perceptions variées du risque et à la complexité des enjeux. |

| Summary, etc. | Biological invasions pose an increasing threat to biodiversity, the economy, and human health in northern Senegal. In this paper, we examine the challenges of scientific communication in this context. We adopted a qualitative approach involving semi-structured interviews with local stakeholders and participant observation. After analyzing the data using the “conceptualizing categories” approach (Paillé et Mucchielli, 2008), we found that scientific communication faces obstacles related to differing perceptions of risk and the complexity of the issues at hand. |
