| Summary, etc. | Depuis ces dernières décennies, on assiste en Suisse (comme dans d’autres pays d’Europe) à un retour de la question carcérale parmi l’ensemble des réponses sociopolitiques engagées vis-à-vis du traitement de la délinquance juvénile. Ce retour se manifeste par des mouvements d’apparence contradictoires contraignant notamment les Centres éducatifs fermés à plus de « dignité » mais aussi à plus de « fermeté ». La question des liens entre intérieur et extérieur se situe au cœur de cette réforme. Cet article entend explorer la manière dont cette question est éprouvée par les professionnels en mettant en lumière leurs formes d’adhésion, d’appropriation et de résistance. |

| Summary, etc. | “Opening Up to the Outside”: a Reform Experienced by Professionals of a Juvenile Detention CenterOver the last decades, in Switzerland as well as in other European countries, the uprising of imprisonment issues has gained importance among policy responses to address juvenile delinquency. This uprising of penal confinement is followed up by a movement in apparent contradiction : juvenile detention centers have to show more dignity as well as more firmness in the treatment of juvenile offenders. The question of the relationships between the domestic world of confinement and the external world is at the heart of this reform. This paper is an on-the-ground account on the ways this question is experienced by professionals working in a juvenile detention center highlighting their forms of compliance, appropriation and resistance. |

| Summary, etc. | Desde hace algunas décadas, se asiste en Suiza (así como en otros países europeos) al retorno de la cuestión carcelaria dentro del conjunto de respuestas sociopolíticas adoptadas para el tratamiento de la delincuencia juvenil. Este retorno se manifiesta a través de tendencias aparentemente contradictorias que obligan a los centros educativos cerrados a tratar a los jóvenes con más “dignidad” y, al tiempo, con más “firmeza”. La cuestión de los vínculos entre el interior y el exterior de la institución está en el centro de esta reforma. Este artículo explora la manera a través de la cual esta cuestión es experimentada por los profesionales, destacando sus formas de adhesión, apropiación y resistencia a estos cambios. |
