| Summary, etc. | How do the members of Junior Enterprises (JE) – student associations with an emphasis on professionalization – choose their successors? Drawing on the private archives of the JE of a top business school, and on a number of interviews, this article reveals a process of co-opting structured by norms that crystallise educational past, managerial future and academic present. Depending on their gender, class and racial situation, the candidates are subject to different expectations and do not have the same resources at their disposal in order to respond. |
