| Summary, etc. | L’article propose d’observer les déplacements de frontières symboliques et matérielles à partir d’explorations scientifiques opérées par des chercheurs en littérature et en sciences humaines et sociales depuis l’université de La Réunion. Mobilisant le concept d’objet frontière, nous questionnons la circulation des discours sociaux se rapportant à ces explorations. L’enquête repose sur une recension bibliographique des productions confrontée à des entretiens avec des chercheurs. Elle introduit une réflexion épistémologique sur l’émergence de la notion de Indianocéanie et sur certaines de ses médiations. Les travaux des chercheurs, productions « situées », et souvent circonscrites à des espaces insulaires dans le sud-ouest de l’océan Indien, revisitent, voire bousculent à la marge, des paradigmes théoriques européanocentrés. Ces travaux traduisent les interactions entre les sphères académiques de recherche et les sphères institutionnelles et politiques, que nous analysons en particulier à travers les cartographies qu’elles produisent. |

| Summary, etc. | This article proposes to analyze the shifts of symbolic and material borders, based on scientific explorations carried out by researchers in humanities from the University of Reunion Island. Mobilizing the boundary object concept, it historicizes these explorations and questions the circulation of related social discourses. The inquiry is based on a bibliographic recension of the scientific productions, confronted with interviews with researchers from the UR. Finally, it allows to an epistemological reflection on the emergence of the idea of Indianoceania and on some examples of its mediations. The work of scientists, as situated knowledge, and circumscribed to island areas in the southwest of the Indian Ocean, redefine and sometimes upset European-centered theoretical paradigms. Focusing on the cartographic products, we analyse the interactions between the academic sphere and the economical and political spheres. |
