| Summary, etc. | In the Indo-China War, and then in?1956 in Algeria, the BCRS were designed to fight terrorism and subversion in the framework of revolution. Special units of the Air Force took up position on the seven principal air bases in Algeria and contributed, especially by intelligence-gathering, to the full protection of the bases. The author, a historian and former member of BCRS, describes their organization and their functioning and attempts to draw up a balance-sheet. On the basis of the results achieved, and for a minimum investment in men and mat?riel, it is entirely positive. |
