520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Our contribution is based on the singular experiment carried out by the association AZUR in Nîmes from 1989 to 2013 (led by a social worker—the author of this article—and a board of directors made up of women living in a working-class district), as part of a public education initiative. The social intervention of collective interest supported this initiative as a way to help the at-risk, weakened, and vulnerable public. This experiment is an example of the social work and city contracts that were in place for twenty-eight years, up until 2013. The findings are alarming: the damage is worse considering the vulnerable public, and particularly the working-class districts, in the intervening period. Precariousness is at a peak among the vulnerable community, but also among social work professionals.
