520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Venous thrombosis (VT), including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), represents a major public health problem due to its high morbidity and mortality rates. The pathophysiological complexity of VTs, involving an interaction between genetic, environmental, inflammatory and metabolic factors, requires holistic approaches for a better understanding. Multi- or poly-omics technologies, which integrate genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic and epigenetic data, make it possible to decipher the molecular mechanisms underlying the formation of thrombosis. This article reviews the major contributions of these approaches to the study of VTs, the biomarkers identified, the pathogenic pathways involved, and the prospects for personalised medicine. Methodological challenges and future research directions are also discussed.
