Après avoir introduit diverses positions métaéthiques pertinentes pour appréhender ce qu’est un statut moral, il présente les principales stratégies des défenseurs et opposants à la qualification de sujet moral pour un robot, avant d’opter pour le relationnisme. Ce dernier est cependant mis en difficulté par le caractère simulé des interactions et relations humain-robot. L’article propose alors une issue en s’appuyant sur un antiréalisme intentionnel à la Dennett, ce qui conduit à un relationnisme non-objectiviste, potentiellement inclusif pour nombre de non-humains, y compris certains robots. |

After introducing various metaethical positions relevant to understanding what moral status is, it presents the main strategies of those who defend and oppose the qualification of robots as moral subjects, before opting for relationalism. However, relationalism is challenged by the simulated nature of human-robot interactions and relationships. The paper then proposes a solution based on Dennett’s anti-realism about intentionality, which leads to a non-objectivist relationalism that is potentially inclusive of many non-humans, including certain robots. |
