Après avoir identifié leurs valeurs lexicographique, diététique, gastronomique et symbolique, examiné l’hypothèse qu’ils seraient la signature de l’artiste, il conclut que les concombres donnent une saveur particulière à l’œuvre et partant, à l’épisode biblique qu’il illustre ainsi qu’au rite liturgique qu’il évoque. |

After identifying their lexicographic, dietary, gastronomic, and symbolic values, examining the hypothesis that they would be the artist’s signature, the author concludes that cucumbers give a particular flavour to the work and therefore to the biblical episode that it illustrates and to the liturgical rite which it evokes. |
