| Summary, etc. | Introduction. Les épilepsies infanto-juvéniles sont des affections neurologiques très fréquentes. Une évolution atypique conduit souvent à des orientations en pédopsychiatrie. L’objective de cette investigation est de mettre en exergue le profil de ces patients et montrer la contribution de l’institution dans la prise en charge. Méthodologie. Il s’agit d’une étude rétrospective, menée à partir des dossiers des patients reçus en pédopsychiatre à l’hôpital National de Niamey de Janvier 2010 à Juin 2011. Un échantillon de 78 patients de sexe masculin et 62 de sexe féminin a été constitué. Résultats. Les patients ont un âge compris entre 3 mois et 18 ans ; la tranche d’âge de 1 à 6 ans est majoritaire. Une scolarisation est maintenue pour plus de la moitié des malades en âge scolaire. 44% des patients sont des aînés de leur mère, 51% ont été réanimé après l’accouchement et pour 80,70% le motif de consultation est un trouble psychomoteur. Conclusion. Les épilepsies de l’enfant et de l’adolescent sont responsables de troubles du comportement. Un suivi en milieu psychiatrique s’avère avantageux car il permet non seulement de stabiliser les crises mais aussi une prise en charge psychologique de l’enfant et de sa famille. |

| Summary, etc. | Introduction. The infanto-young epilepsies are very frequent neurological affections. An atypical evolution often leads to orientations in child psychiatry. The objective of this investigation is to highlight the profile of these patients and to show the contribution of the institution in the coverage. Methodology. It is about a retrospective study, led from the cases of the patients received in child psychiatrist at the National hospital of Niamey from January, 2010 till June, 2011. A sample of 78 male patients and 62 female was established. Results. The patients are one age old included between 3 months and 18 years; the age bracket from 1 to 6 years is majority. A schooling is maintained for more than half patients in school age. 44 % of the patients are elder sons of their mother, 51 % were resuscitated after the childbirth and for 80,70 % the motive for consultation is a psychomotor disorder. Conclusion. The epilepsies of giving birth to him and of the teenager are responsible for disorders of behavior. A follow-up in psychiatric environment is all the more advantageous because allows not only to stabilize the crises but also a psychological coverage of the child and his family. |
