Summary, etc. In this paper, we present the case of a patient with squamous cell carcinoma who presented with a massive neutrophilic leukocytosis, accompanied with mild signs of dysmyelopoiesis. We ruled out multiple etiologies, and we finally hypothesized a paraneoplastic leukemoid reaction, which is a fairly common hematological disorder. This observation highlights the fact that neutrophil counts can reach enormous rates in paraneoplastic leukemoid reactions.
