Summary, etc. In 2022, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided sampling with linear EUS scope is one of the main methods used for making diagnoses in this field. EUS-guided sampling is the cornerstone of the management of pancreatic solid mass but also other peridigestive lesions (cystic lesions, GISTs, etc.). EUS fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA), safe and efficient with a sensibility of over 85% and a specificity of over 95%, is being gradually replaced by EUS fine-needle biopsy (EUS-FNB), which enables better histological material acquisition without increasing morbidity. These evolutions, perfectly adapted to modern medicine (personalized with theranostic markers) have changed EUS usage, in particular cytopathology management.
