| Summary, etc. | Les deux versets de Mt 13,45-46 sont communément désignés comme « parabole de la perle ». Pourtant, Bruno Planty le souligne, c’est bien un marchand, un emporos, que Matthieu met en comparaison avec le Royaume des cieux, non une perle. Celle-ci reste un élément subordonné qui se manifeste à travers la conscience qui l’a trouvée : c’est cette conscience qui habite la parabole. Elle ne s’éveille pas sous le coup d’une révélation extraordinaire, mais s’inscrit dans ce mouvement de reprise magistralement décrit par Kierkegaard. |

| Summary, etc. | The two verses of Mt 13:45-46 are commonly referred to as the “parable of the pearl”. Yet it is indeed a merchant, an emporos, that Matthew compares with the Kingdom of Heaven, not a pearl. This remains a subordinate element which manifests itself through the consciousness which has found it: it is this consciousness which inhabits the parable. It does not wake up to an extraordinary revelation, but is part of this repetition masterfully described by Kierkegaard. |
