| Summary, etc. | The transition imposed by the Grenelle Environment Act, leading to the gradual phase-out of incandescent, halogen, and fluorescent lamps, has introduced LEDs as the new source of stage lighting. While this technology offers energy and creative advantages, it disrupts artistic and technical practices: different light spectra, altered rendering of colors and shadows, increased console complexity and difficulties in transferring a lighting design from one venue to another. Designers struggle to regain the aesthetic control once provided by incandescent sources, while training tools remain rooted in the 20th century. In response to the lack of reliable metrics for comparing LEDs and traditional sources, the ANR SceALED project brings together researchers, engineers, artists, and manufacturers to develop multi-criteria evaluation tools. Through psycho-visual studies, lexicometric analyses, and sensory design methods, it aims to better understand spectators’ perceptions and ensure the transferability and aesthetic quality of contemporary stage creations. |

| Summary, etc. | La transition imposée par la loi Grenelle de l’Environnement, entraînant la disparition progressive des lampes incandescentes, halogènes et fluorescentes, a introduit la LED comme nouvelle source d’éclairage scénique. Si cette technologie offre des avantages énergétiques et créatifs, elle bouleverse les pratiques artistiques et techniques : spectres lumineux différents, rendu des couleurs et des ombres modifié, complexité accrue des consoles et difficulté de transférer un plan lumière d’une salle à l’autre. Les concepteurs peinent à retrouver la maîtrise esthétique acquise avec l’incandescence, tandis que les outils pédagogiques restent ancrés dans le XXe siècle. Face à ce manque de métriques fiables pour comparer LEDs et sources traditionnelles, le projet ANR SceALED réunit chercheurs, ingénieurs, artistes et fabricants afin de développer des outils d’évaluation multicritères. Par des enquêtes psycho-visuelles, analyses lexicométriques et méthodes de design sensoriel, il vise à comprendre les impressions spectatorielles et à garantir la transférabilité et la qualité esthétique des créations scéniques contemporaines. |
