| Summary, etc. | Cet article examine l’utilisation du raisonnement minimalement corrélé (loosely coupled reasoning) pour renforcer la sophistication cognitive des acteurs de l’intelligence économique. À partir du cas de COMAC et d’une question simple : Pourquoi la Chine s’est-elle lancée dans la fabrication d’avions commerciaux ? nous proposons différentes interprétations des informations recueillies en nous appuyant à la fois sur les techniques d’analyses structurées et sur l’élaboration de récits issus d’un raisonnement plus libre. Cette approche mixte qui allie des méthodes structurées et le recours à des idées atypiques permet de diversifier les perspectives d’analyse et les interprétations possibles des données du cas de COMAC. |

| Summary, etc. | This article examines the value of loosely coupled reasoning in enhancing the cognitive sophistication of actors in economic intelligence. Using the case of COMAC and a simple question: Why did China decide to engage in manufacturing commercial aircrafts? we propose various interpretations of the collected data by combining structured analytic techniques with more flexible reasoning so to produce parallel story telling enabled by looser thinking. This mixed approach opens new avenues for developing a working framework composed of multiple scenarios that blend methods with unconventional ideas so to allow produce diversified analytical perspectives and interpretations of the data collected on COMAC. |
