Summary, etc. Neuroimaging has become increasingly widespread over the past few years. Many studies have indicated that the potential uses of neuroimaging in clinical practice are numerous, for diagnostic purposes, prognosis, or to guide the development of new treatments. In this article, we describe the current uses of brain imaging in clinical psychiatric practice, in particular in differential diagnostic procedures. Based on a review of the literature, we make several practical recommendations. The development of machine learning strategies through the use of neuroimaging data is also considered. Finally, we discuss the conceptual consequences for psychiatry of the development of neuroimaging.
