| Summary, etc. | les itinéraires thérapeutiques étaient influencés par les performances du système de santé et les représentations socioculturelles de la maladie. Une étude transversale et descriptive a analysé les itinéraires des patients suivis en psychiatrie à Bangui. Pendant 6 mois, les itinéraires de 479 patients des 2 sexes ont été analysés. Les groupes religieux étaient le 1er recours. La famille était le 1er décideur. Les buts recherchés étaient la guérison et le soulagement. Les raisons de ces choix étaient les croyances, l’accessibilité/la disponibilité du modèle choisi. 27 patients avaient déclaré ignorer l’existence du service de psychiatrie. Les affections chroniques amenaient les patients à des itinéraires multiples. Ceux ayant souffert de pathologies aigues avaient préféré l’itinéraire unique. La gravité de l’affection en cause, le rôle joué par l’entourage et le sens donné à la maladie étaient les autres facteurs d’influence retrouvés. Il y a lieu de les connaître pour une meilleure qualité des soins de santé mentale en Afrique. |

| Summary, etc. | Summary : the rherapeutic pathways were influenced by health System performance and socio-cultural representations of illness. A transversal and descriptive study analyzed the pathways of patients followed in psychiatry in Bangui. For 6 months, the pathways of 479 patients in the 2 sexes were analyzed. Religlous groups were the first resort. The family was the first maker. The objectives were healing and relief. The reasons for these choices were the beliefs. accessibility / availability of the chosen model. 27 patients had reported unaware of Psychiatry. Chronic conditions lead patients to multiple routes. Those who suffered from acute diseases had preferred the single route. The severity of the disease in question, the rôle of the entourage and the meaning given to the disease were other influences found. It is necessary to know them for better quality of mental health care in Africa. |
