| Summary, etc. | Neuromyths are misconceptions about learning and brain function. Research shows that these neuromyths are common in the general population as well as among teachers and learners. This prevalence is problematic because it may lead to the use of ineffective teaching and learning strategies. In our study, we investigated the prevalence and correction of these misconceptions among students in educational sciences. Our findings indicate that neuromyths exist among these students in France, and that an intervention using refutation texts can reduce them in a relatively long-lasting manner. |
