| Summary, etc. | Cet article analyse les enjeux méthodologiques et éthiques de l’approche interprétative, sur les terrains difficiles en particulier, à partir de deux expériences de recherche menées en Russie avant et après l’invasion de l’Ukraine à grande échelle en 2022. Appuyé sur une enquête menée au Daghestan (2013-2016) et une autre réalisée à Moscou et dans plusieurs lieux d’émigration des syndicalistes indépendants (2023-2024), le texte propose un retour réflexif sur la notion de danger, les ajustements méthodologiques et l’influence des statuts et appartenances de la chercheuse, ainsi que sur les dilemmes associés à la diffusion des résultats entre transparence scientifique, respect de l’agentivité et protection des enquêtés. |

| Summary, etc. | This article examines the methodological and ethical challenges of the interpretive approach through two research projects conducted in Russia before and after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, situated within broader debates on challenging fieldwork. Drawing on one study carried out in Dagestan (2013–2016) and another conducted with independent trade union activists (2023–2024) in Moscow and in several countries of their emigration, it offers a reflexive discussion of the notion of danger, the methodological adjustments made during fieldwork, and the researcher’s statuses and positionalities. It outlines the dilemmas involved in disseminating research findings amid the competing demands of scientific transparency, respect for agency, and the protection of research participants. |
