Since the fall of the USSR, it’s importance has steadily risen, thanks to the efforts of successive presidents. Vladimir Putin, in an increasingly conservative bent, is even attacking the secular foundations of the Russian Federation. Since 2020, the notion of “faith in God” has been enshrined in the Russian constitution. |
