Summary, etc. | In the setting of Mons 2015 (it was the European City of Culture that year), Wajdi Mouwad the actor and producer staged the seven tragedies of Sophocles at the Manège Theatre. In connexion with the productions he invited 50 young people to follow him from 2011 to 2015, that is from their fifteenth to their twentieth year, around an original project called “Being 20 in 2015”, the ambition being “to learn to think for ourselves.” Based on a participant observation conducted by the author, the article aims to show how this mediation device is inseparable from the figure of the artist who designed it, and how it proposes tools allowing everyone to build oneself as an individual. |
