| Summary, etc. | RésuméEn France, les effectifs de l’enseignement supérieur n’évoluent pas de façon homogène selon les régions. Aussi l’objectif de ce travail est-il double. Il tente, d’une part, de rechercher les déterminants de la demande d’enseignement supérieur dans les régions françaises. Il propose, d’autre part, des indicateurs d’attractivité des régions pour les étudiants. D’après nos résultats, les trois régions les plus attractives pour les étudiants durant la période 1997-2002 sont : Île-de-France, Midi-Pyrénées et Rhône-Alpes. |

| Summary, etc. | The demand for higher education and the attractiveness of french regions for students (1990-2002)In France, the enrollments in higher education are not distributed similarly in the regions. The aim of this paper is double. On the one hand, it tries to study the determinants of the demand for higher education in the French regions. On the other hand, it proposes indicators of attractiveness of the regions for the students. The empirical findings show that the most attractive regions during 1997-2002 are : Île-de-France, Midi-Pyrénées and Rhône-Alpes.Classification JEL : 1121, RO. |
