Summary, etc. This article focuses on the production of political discourses by women teachers of the French Secular Mission in Lebanon in a context of crisis. It assumes that their school socialization is part of their politicization and leads them to produce judgments against the Lebanese political system. After examining the effects of the crisis on everyday school practices, the aim is to show that the teachers’ narratives become more general and produce political judgments. The latter testify to the intimate tensions experienced by the teachers. Should they stay in Lebanon to push for regime change or leave the country to preserve their families and their professional and personal identity?
