| Summary, etc. | L’objectif de cette étude est d’observer l’usage du dessin et du texte par des élèves dans des carnets pendant une activité STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) pour raconter une expérimentation scientifique et dessiner un objet technique. À l’aide d’une méthodologie mixte au design exploratoire, les contenus de 141 carnets individuels d’élèves de 6 à 11 ans ont été analysés. Les premiers résultats montrent que les élèves, peu importe l’âge, adoptent des stratégies pour utiliser le texte et le dessin simultanément : ils communiquent des informations sourcées et des idées complexes qui évoquent la fabrication de l’objet technique et son utilisation dynamique avec les concepts physiques sous-jacents qui expliquent cette dynamique. |

| Summary, etc. | The aim of this study is to examine how students use drawings and texts in notebooks during a STEAM activity (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) to narrate a scientific experiment and represent a technical object. Using a mixed methodology with exploratory design, the contents of 141 individual notebooks from students aged 6 to 11 were analysed. The initial findings indicate that students of all ages adopt strategies to combine texts and drawing simultaneously: they communicate sourced information and complex ideas that convey both the construction of the technical object and its dynamic use, together with the underlying physical concepts that explain this dynamic. |

| Summary, etc. | El objetivo de este estudio es analizar cómo los alumnos utilizan dibujos y textos en sus cuadernos durante una actividad STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) para relatar una experimentación y representar un objeto técnico. Mediante una metodología mixta con diseño exploratorio, se analizaron los contenidos de 141 cuadernos individuales de alumnos de 6 a 11 años. Los primeros resultados muestran que los alumnos, independientemente de la edad, adoptan estrategias para utilizar textos y dibujos simultáneamente: comunican información fundamentada y ideas complejas que evocan tano la fabricación del objeto técnico como su uso dinámico, junto con los conceptos físicos subyacentes que explican esta dinámica. |
