| Summary, etc. | RésuméJoseph Sansbœuf (1848-1938) joue un rôle prépondérant dans le mouvement de mobilisation en faveur des exercices physiques qui se développe en France dès l’avènement de la IIIe République. Alsacien né à Guebwiller, il est formé à la gymnastique au sein de ce qu’il est convenu d’appeler la première Société de Gymnastique de France. Installé à Paris après la guerre de 1870, il opte pour la France en 1872. Comme de nombreux Alsaciens, il participe à l’effervescence associative parisienne qui a pour enjeu le relèvement de la patrie et la création de réseaux de soutien aux républicains. Aux côtés d’hommes politiques comme Maurice Barrès, Sadi Carnot, Léon Gambetta ou encore Paul Déroulède et de personnalités comme George Demenÿ, Jean Macé, Paschal Grousset et Pierre de Coubertin, Joseph Sansbœuf peut être considéré comme un personnage trait d’union entre des institutions et des hommes en concurrence. A une époque charnière de l’histoire des exercices corporels en France, l’itinéraire de Joseph Sansbœuf et les engagements qu’il a pris mettent en lumière le rôle des Alsaciens protestataires installés à Paris et l’influence des réseaux qu’ils ont constitués afin que s’opère la régénération de la France et la libération des provinces perdues. |

| Summary, etc. | AbstractJoseph Sansboeuf (1848-1938) played a leading part in the mobilization movement in favor of physical exercises that spread in France since the advent of the third Republic. Alsatian, born in Guebwiller, he was trained to the gymnastics in the so called First Gymnastic Society of France. He had moved to Paris after the war of 1870 and he decided to stay in France definitly in 1872. Like many Alsatians, he took part in the parisian community excitement which had at stake in the re-establishment of the State and the creation of support movements to the Republicans. On the political side, so as Maurice Barrès, Sadi Carnot, Léon Gambetta, or as Paul Déroulède and personalities like George Demenÿ, Jean Macé, Paschal Grousset and Pierre de Coubertin, Joseph Sansboeuf could be considered as an hyphen character between the institutions and the men in comptetition. On a great turning-point of the physical exercises history in France, the Joseph Sansboeuf itinerary and the commitments that he had taken brought to light the role of the protester Alsatians installed in Paris and the influence of the movements that they constituted so that the regeneration and the liberation of lost provinces of France took place. |

Republik für eine Verbreitung der Leibesübungen stark machte. Als in Guebwiller geborener Elsässer erhielt er eine turnerische Ausbildung bei dem Verein, der üblicherweise als erster Turnverein Frankreichs bezeichnet wird. Nach dem Krieg 1870 wohnhaft in Paris, entscheidet er sich 1972 für Frankreich. Wie viele Elsässer nimmt er an dem Aufblühen des Pariser Vereinslebens teil, bei dem es um das Wiedererstarken des Vaterlandes und die Schaffung einer Lobby für die Republikaner geht. An der Seite von Politikern wie Maurice Barrès, Sadi Carnot, Léon Gambetta oder auch Paul Déroulède und Persönlichkeiten wie George Demeny, Jean Macé, Paschal Grousset und Pierre de Coubertin..., kann Joseph Sansboeuf als eine Vermittler-Persönlichkeit zwischen konkurrierenden Institutionen und Personen betrachtet werden. Alsaziano nato a Guebwiller, è formato alla ginnastica in seno a ciò che viene chiamata la Prima Società di Ginnastica di Francia. Stabilitosi a Parigi dopo la guerra del 1870, opta per la Francia nel 1982. come numerosi Alsaziani partecipa all’effervescenza associativa parigina che ha per posta in gioco il sollevamento della Patria e la creazione di reti di sostegno ai repubblicani.
