Summary, etc. In the late 1960s, the Palestine Liberation Organization could boast of significant diplomatic support on the international scene. The Arab states, the socialist countries, but also the majority of non-aligned countries support the cause of the Palestinians. Yet the PLO remains for European governments an essentially terrorist organization. However, this does not prevent the organization from having representatives in European capitals. This article presents the conditions of representation of these actors, whose ambiguous statutes pushed them to seek other diplomatic ways to defend the Palestinian cause.
