| Summary, etc. | Introduction : Le rôle sociétal des clubs sportifs (CS) dans la promotion de la santé est sous-exploité selon les chercheurs et les acteurs politiques. Sur la base de l’outil health-promoting sports clubs national audit tool, développé par l’Organisation mondiale de la santé, cette étude a comme objectif de répertorier les documents et actions politiques soutenant la promotion de la santé au sein des CS, et d’analyser leurs caractéristiques et qualités. Méthodes : Le contenu (cible, thématique de santé, instrument politique) des plans, stratégies ou programmes a été analysé à travers plusieurs critères de qualité, notamment la référence à d’autres politiques, à des données scientifiques, ainsi qu’aux processus de création et d’évaluation des politiques. Des interviews avec 11 informateurs clés ont complété cette analyse. Résultats : Cinquante-six actions, issues de 10 plans, stratégies ou programmes ont été identifiées. Elles proviennent majoritairement du ministère des Sports et de la Santé, sont principalement centrées sur un seul comportement de santé, l’activité physique, et deux tiers d’entre elles sont à visée éducationnelle et non de modification systémique. Conclusions : La politique de soutien aux clubs sportifs promoteurs de santé est décrite comme fragmentée, en concurrence avec le développement du sport-santé, manquant d’évaluation, de coordination et étant déconnectée du niveau local. Des études futures sont nécessaires pour mieux comprendre l’impact de ces textes sur le mouvement sportif et sur l’alignement du niveau national à local. |

| Summary, etc. | Introduction : The role of sports clubs in health promotion has been underexploited according to policymakers and researchers. Drawing on the health-promoting sports clubs national audit tool developed by the World Health Organization, this study reviews of national public policies supporting health promotion in sports clubs. Methods : The content of policy documents was analyzed with respect to key quality criteria for health policies (references to other documents, policy framing, and evaluation). We examined the content of these documents (target groups, health topics, type of policy instruments) and the mechanisms used by French decision-makers for coordination, evaluation, dissemination, and implementation of these policies. The document review was completed by interviews with 11 key stakeholders. Results : A total of 56 policy actions were identified across 10 policy documents, primarily from the sports and health ministries. Most actions focused on a single health behavior—physical activity—and two-thirds relied on educational policy instruments rather than systematic changes. Conclusions : The policy landscape is characterized as fragmented, competing with sport-health policies, lacking evaluation and coordination, and remaining distant from implementation at the local level. Future research is needed to better understand the impact of these policies and the alignment between national and local levels. |
