| Summary, etc. | L’influence d’Alfred Fouillée sur le solidarisme est souvent surestimée et sa place dans l’histoire des sciences sociales est, en conséquence, appréciée à tort. S’il est, en effet, cité dans Solidarité de Léon Bourgeois, ouvrage fondateur du solidarisme, sa pensée n’a jamais été pleinement intégrée à la doctrine de ce mouvement. Alfred Fouillée, loin d’être un solidariste, se fait même critique à l’égard de la philosophie du « quasi-contrat social » et son rôle dans la genèse de celle-ci relève davantage d’une construction historiographique que d’une véritable filiation. Cet article a pour objectif d’étudier les véritables liens d’attraction et de rejet qui unissent Alfred Fouillée et le solidarisme. |

| Summary, etc. | Alfred Fouillée’s influence on solidarism is often overestimated, and his place in the history of the social sciences is consequently misjudged. Although he is indeed mentioned in Léon Bourgeois’s Solidarité, the founding work of solidarism, his thought was never fully integrated into the doctrine of this movement. Far from being a solidarist, Alfred Fouillée was even critical of the philosophy of the “quasi-social contract”, and his role in its genesis is more a matter of historiographical construction than of genuine intellectual lineage. This article aims to explore the true dynamics of attraction and rejection that link Alfred Fouillée and solidarism. |
