Summary, etc. |

Summary, etc. | How does a parliament survive war? This article focuses on the competing mobilizations of Yemeni MPs to revive parliament since the start of the conflict in 2014. By analyzing how MPs rebuild coalitions and reformulate principles of legitimacy, I show how parliament becomes the object of intense political competition in war-torn Yemen, both for the definition of what the State is, and for the capture of material and symbolic resources essential to individual and collective survival. |
