| Summary, etc. | L’aide sociale à l’enfance (ASE) est l’auxiliaire d’un pouvoir établi, le système judiciaire, s’inscrivant ainsi dans le fonctionnement d’une institution disciplinaire au sens foucaldien. Ses missions de « protection », qui englobent à la fois la gestion de l’alimentation et la transmission des normes diététiques s’accompagnent de dispositifs de surveillance, de normalisation et de sanction. Ces formes de contrôle deviennent particulièrement sensibles lorsqu’il s’agit d’enfants en migration. En croisant les apports de la psychanalyse avec les concepts critiques des food studies, notamment les notions de justice reproductive et de gastronationalisme, cet article met en lumière l’odyssée alimentaire vécue par les familles migrantes à travers l’ASE. La traversée entamée depuis le départ de leurs pays d’origine peut mener à une forme d’oubli de soi et de son histoire comparable à l’angoisse des « Lotophages », ce peuple mythique de l’Odyssée qui, en consommant le fruit du lotos, aurait perdu tout souvenir de sa quête initiale. |

| Summary, etc. | The ASE (French child welfare service) operates as an auxiliary to the judicial system, an established authority, and thus acts as a disciplinary institution in the sense of Foucault. Its mission of “protection”, which entails both managing nutrition and conveying dietary norms, is accompanied by mechanisms of surveillance, standardization, and punishment. These forms of control become particularly acute in the case of migrant children. Drawing on insights from psychoanalysis and critical concepts from the field of food studies, particularly the notions of reproductive justice and gastro-nationalism, this article examines the dietary odyssey experienced by migrant families followed by the ASE. The journey that began with their departure from their countries of origin can lead to a form of self-forgetfulness and historical amnesia comparable to the distress of the « Lotophages », the mythical people of the Odyssey who, after eating the fruit of the lotus, are said to have lost all memory of their original pursuit. |

Sus misiones de “protección”, que incluyen tanto la gestión de la alimentación como la transmisión de normas dietéticas, se acompañan de dispositivos de vigilancia, de normalización y de sanción. Estas formas de control se vuelven especialmente sensibles en el caso de niños y niñas en situación de migración. Al combinar los aportes del psicoanálisis con los conceptos críticos de los food studies, en particular las nociones de justicia reproductiva y gastro-nacionalismo, el artículo pone en evidencia la odisea alimentaria vivida por las familias migrantes a través de la ASE. El viaje iniciado desde sus países de origen puede llevar a una forma de olvido de sí mismos y de su historia, comparable a la angustia de los “lotófagos”, aquel pueblo mítico de La Odisea que, al consumir el fruto del loto, habría perdido todo recuerdo de su búsqueda inicial. |
