| Summary, etc. |

| Summary, etc. | One year ago, the Department of Psychology at the University of Tlemcen and his counterpart front the University of Montpellier were organized in the auditorium of the Faculty of medicine a symposium on « the management of autism in Algeria». Also they hâve contacted me to talk about my expérience in this field. I thought of writing this article on the history of support of psychotic children in Western Algeria (in area, it is once and removed the France). I wanted to show than, despite the large number of institutions in support of the mentally disabled and the large number of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, of educators...The’ autistic child is poorly supported. I wanted to know why we continue to speak of child psychosis when WHO and DSM IVspeaksof invadingdisorders of development. I wanted to remind the gaps in the training of our psychiatrists and our psychologists. |
