| Summary, etc. | Résumé2002 est une année clef pour le tourisme durable : celle de sa reconnaissance internationale, notamment au Sommet de Johannesburg. Ce résultat est le fruit de la mobilisation des acteurs du tourisme. Cependant, la multitude de leurs initiatives crée un flou sur la définition de tourisme durable, notamment par rapport au type de productions offertes. L’analyse des déclarations qui s’y rapportent, tant internationales que nationales, complétée par l’étude du cas particulier des Parcs Naturels Régionaux appliquée aux territoires du Queyras et du Vercors nous permet d’y voir plus clair. Le tourisme durable apparaît alors comme un modèle de développement du tourisme en espace rural proposant de formater ces zones sur la base d’un cadre unificateur des initiatives privées fondé sur une valeur transversale : l’authenticité. Cependant, les rigidités d’un tel modèle nous amènent finalement à nous interroger sur son application réelle. |

| Summary, etc. | Sustainable tourism an organisation of tourism in rural areas2002 is a key year for sustainable tourism because of its international recognition at Johannesburg Summit. This one is due to tourism actors’ mobilisation. However, multiple initiatory make sustainable tourism difficult to understand, mainly about production offered. When one analyse both nationals and internationals declarations about sustainable tourism helped by particular case of PNR applied both in Vercors and Queyras mountains, one can clarify the situation. Then sustainable tourism appears as a tourism development model in rural areas which aims at formatting these spaces following a unification framework for private initiatives based upon a common value : authenticity. However, rigidities of this model finally lead us to wonder about its real application.Classification JEL : D62, E61, L83, O13, O18, Q26, R11. |
