| Summary, etc. | RésuméCette étude essaie de décrire les divergences de performance dans les entreprises manufacturières appartenant à la même industrie et qui émergent d’une part, en raison de la localisation dans différentes régions et d’autre part, à cause des différences dans la taille des sociétés. À ce propos, on a développé un nouveau modèle d’évaluation de la performance, composé de 23 variables, qui a été appliqué sur un échantillon d’entreprises du secteur de l’éclairage en Espagne. L’application de techniques d’homogénéité non paramétrique nous conduit à déterminer les variables formant l’effet territoire et l’effet taille. |

| Summary, etc. | A model to assess the territory and the size effects in the industrial performanceThis study tries to delve into the divergences in performance within the same industry arising from location in different regions, on one side, and from differences in the size of the firms, in another. With that purpose, a new model for performance assessment with 23 variables is applied over a representative sample of firms pertaining to the Spanish lighting industry. Application of the non parametric homogeneity techniques serves to determine the variables shaping the so-called territory or « regional » effect and the « firms size » effect.Classification JEL : L25, L68, R12. |
