| Summary, etc. | Depuis quelques décennies, les anciens enfants placés et leurs descendants sont nombreux à chercher dans les archives les bribes de leur histoire conservées par les institutions de la Protection de l’enfance ou de la Justice des mineurs. Face à ce nouveau public, pour lequel la consultation des archives revêt souvent de puissants enjeux mémoriels, affectifs voire identitaires, les archivistes doivent repenser leurs pratiques. Trois archivistes des archives du Tarn-et-Garonne racontent leur expérience et ouvrent les coulisses de la communication des dossiers de l’enfance placée. |

| Summary, etc. | In recent decades, many former children in care and their descendants have turned to archives for bits and pieces of their histories preserved by child protection or juvenile justice institutions. Faced with this new audience, for whom consultation of archives often involves powerful issues of memory, emotion and even identity, archivists have had to rethink their practices. Three archivists from the Archives du Tarn-et-Garonne share their experiences and take us behind the scenes of the communication of files on children in care. |
