This phenomenon has often been interpreted as a direct effect of the Cuban Revolution, either analyzed in terms of revolutionary contagion or as a mimesis of the “Cuban model.” Based on the study of the Chilean “new left” and its relations with Cuba, this article aims at challenging this argument. |
